Where we practice

We are admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and are authorized to represent clients in matters involving federal trademark registration, trademark prosecution, and related administrative proceedings before the Office. 

Representation before the USPTO includes preparing and filing trademark applications, responding to office actions, maintaining federal registrations, and advising clients on the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights within the scope of the Office’s administrative jurisdiction.

We are admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court (USTC) and may represent taxpayers in judicial proceedings involving disputes with the Internal Revenue Service. 

Practice before the Court includes the preparation and filing of petitions, motions, and other pleadings, representation in pretrial and trial proceedings, and advocacy in matters involving federal tax deficiencies, penalties, and other tax controversies subject to the Court’s jurisdiction.

We are admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division (U.S. SDTX). 

Admission to this federal court permits the Firm to represent clients in civil litigation and other proceedings arising under federal law within the jurisdiction of the Southern District of Texas, including matters involving federal statutes, regulatory enforcement, and other federal causes of action.

We are licensed to practice law in the States of Texas and New York. 

State bar admission authorizes the Firm to provide legal services in accordance with the applicable rules of professional conduct governing those jurisdictions, including advising clients on matters of state law, representing clients in state courts, and providing legal counsel on transactional, regulatory, and dispute-related matters within the scope of each jurisdiction’s licensing authority.

We are certified mediators qualified to facilitate alternative dispute resolution proceedings. 

In this capacity, we may serve as a neutral third-party mediator assisting disputing parties in negotiating mutually acceptable resolutions in civil, commercial, and other private disputes. 

Mediation services are conducted in accordance with generally accepted alternative dispute resolution standards and applicable court or program requirements, with the objective of promoting voluntary settlement while preserving the neutrality and independence required of a mediator.

We  also maintains a commissioned Notary Public in the State of Texas. 

As a Texas notary public, we are authorized to administer oaths and affirmations, take acknowledgments, certify copies of certain documents, and perform other notarial acts permitted under Texas law. 

Notarial services are provided in accordance with the requirements of the Texas Government Code and related administrative regulations governing the duties, authority, and recordkeeping obligations of Texas notaries public.
